In our hectic, everyday lives, emotions and stress get stored in our bodies. I love yoga because it allows time and space to get quiet and go within. In this beautiful space of meditation and movement, we have the opportunity to release and heal. When practicing regularly, we carry the benefits out into our everyday lives, making us better humans.
About Me
I experienced yoga for the first time more than 20 years ago. To my surprise, during a hip-opener, I felt a tear on my cheek. I wasn’t aware of the mind-body connection back then but knew something special happened. Many years passed before I developed a regular practice and fully understood the magic of yoga.
At the time, I was in a stressful corporate job, trying to be perfect in all of my roles—career woman, mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Needless to say, my health suffered and I burnt out. I knew I needed to make changes, and yoga, meditation, and nutrition were three pillars I explored on my healing journey.
These tools helped me to manage stress, reduce anxiety, gain clarity, and see the way to a new life. I left the corporate world to pursue a career in wellness. I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and earned national board certification as Health and Wellness Coach. I did my yoga teacher training at Nourishing Storm and completed Penn Medicine’s 8-week Foundation of Mindfulness course. Following my dream to help others, I opened a wellness practice where my motto is “Small Steps, Big Changes.”
I am passionate about teaching yoga, especially slower-paced, meditative flow and restorative classes. My focus is on helping my students quiet their minds to go within, where release and healing can happen. My favorite part of teaching is when I feel a class’s shift in energy and know my students are experiencing the magic I love so dearly.
I am honored to be teaching at Evergreen and can’t wait to meet you.
