General Yoga Questions
-
The word Yoga means “to yoke” or “union” and the practice of yoga allows us to integrate the body, mind, and spirit. Through asana (yoga poses) and breathwork, we will work together to build a sense of ease in your body.
The research on the benefits of yoga continues to grow. In addition to improving your sense of wellbeing and improving your sleep, studies at the Trauma Research Foundation, show that yoga has been found to help:
reduce symptoms of depression
reduce anxiety
improve cognitive function
ease body pain
increase the body’s strength and mobility
If you are someone who suffers from chronic stress, yoga can help retrain your nervous system, allowing you to become more resilient and increasing your sense of vitality.
-
Absolutely! Our experienced yoga teachers create classes that are accessible to both beginning and experienced yoga students. We pride ourselves on creating a safe and welcoming environment for people at every level of experience.
If you’re nervous about attending your first class, plan to arrive 10 minutes early to introduce yourself to the teacher so she/he/they can show you around. Let them know that you’re new, and they will gladly share tips and modifications throughout the class so you don’t feel left behind. After all, we were all beginners once too!
We recommend that beginners start by taking our Evergreen Slow Flow class.
-
Our classes offer space to grow your practice, strengthen your body, and quiet your mind. Our studio offers a peaceful, encouraging, and judgment-free environment for you to become the best version of yourself.
Some of our classes will bring your awareness to the samskaras, which are the habit patterns that guide our experience in the world. You will become more familiar with your nervous system and your dominant stress response, while learning new tools for breaking free from the things holding you back from living your best life.
Registration Questions

While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend you pre-register to secure your spot as we limit our classes to just 14 participants. You can sign up for classes here.

Yes and no. Our wellness registration platform Ubindi doesn't have a mobile app as it was designed to work and look great on all kinds of mobile devices WITHOUT having to download or install anything.
To register from your phone or tablet, you can go to the yoga registration page.
And if you really love apps, you can easily add a little 'app like' button to your device’s home screen that will take you straight to our registration page. To do that:
Load our registration page on your device.
Then follow these simple step-by-step instructions. It should take less than a minute.
-
If you need to cancel, we ask that you do so as soon as possible so another participant has the opportunity to take your place.
We do not offer refunds. If you cancel, your class credit will be returned to your class package. If you paid for a “drop in” class or wellness workshop, contact us to receive a credit on your account that can be used anytime in the 30 days following the date that you canceled.

We know that may happen occasionally and you may benefit from yoga even more on that kind of day. You are still welcome to attend class. Please enter the studio quietly to minimize the disruption to your fellow students.

Preparing For Your First Yoga Class
-
Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class so that you can settle in without rushing.
-
We suggest you wear comfortable clothing such as leggings, sweatpants, or athletic shorts as well as a comfortable top that allows you to move freely.
Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. If you are new and don’t have a mat (or forgot yours that day), we have a few that can be borrowed.
-
We share a large parking lot with Valley Pediatrics. You may park where you wish. Evergreen is the building closer to the road.
-
The yoga studio is located in Evergreen’s Wellness Center on the lower level of the building closer to the road. As you walk toward Evergreen, you will want to choose the path on the left.
The door on the right leads to our Counseling Center.
-
The studio is not ADA-compliant. There are 9 stairs (with a handrail) leading down to the studio .
What to Expect
-
No. We keep our studio in the 70s to ensure all of our students feel comfortable while in class.
-
We provide complementary blocks, straps and blankets. In addition, we have a few mats you can borrow if you are new to yoga or forget yours.
-
We provide cubbies for your shoes / keys / phone as well as a coat rack to encourage you to keep the space around your mat serene. Please silence your phone before placing it in your cubby in order to ensure a quiet and relaxing space for everyone.
-
Our small space is limited to just 10 students which allows us to create a relaxing environment away from the hustle of your everyday life.
-
Yes, but good news. In most cases, the cause of chemical and fragrance sensitivities is due to synthetic fragrances and other harmful chemicals including artificial dyes, sulfates, parabens, and phthalates, which are known to cause health problems like skin irritation, hormone & endocrine disruption, respiratory problems, and more. We know there are a growing number of people with fragrance sensitivities and we are committed to using non-toxic and natural products, including Young Living essential oils and organic incense which rarely trigger side effects.
Part of the Evergreen yoga experience is the gentle, relaxing smell of essential oils and incense, further allowing students to leave behind the distractions of their busy lives to reset and restore.
